Although CES 2024 is still a few weeks away, firms have begun to reveal goods that will be displayed at the mega-event. Consider LG, a South Korean consumer electronics company that has just unveiled its ‘MyView’ 4K smart monitor line and a brand-new 4K Lifestyle Projector named the LG CineBeam Qube immediately before the event.

LG’s new MyView smart monitor line includes three distinct models (32SR85U, 32SR83U, and 32SR70U) with minor variances. Only the 32SR85U and 32SR83U versions, for example, have an adjustable stand in a circular cutout, as opposed to the 32SR70U, which has a low-profile base.

The connectivity options vary slightly depending on the display.

The 32SR85U and 32SR83U, for example, have three USB-C ports and two HDMI connectors, but the 32SR70U has the same layout plus two extra USB 2.0 ports. If you plan on holding a lot of video conferences, LG provides the 32SR85U with a detachable full HD camera.

Despite these obvious variations, monitors have the same display size (31.5 inches), 4K resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels), and are available in a variety of colors. The same IPS panel, HDR10 compatibility, and equal refresh rates and response times (60Hz/5ms) are shared by all three variants. These monitors are powered by LG’s webOS platform and provide a slew of smart features, including compatibility for applications like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon. All three monitors are equipped with their own remote controllers and enable AirPlay 2 and ScreenShare.

LG’s new CineBeam projector is the latest addition to the company’s renowned CineBeam family of high-end projectors, and it is positioned as a lifestyle product for the company’s affluent clientele. The CineBeam Qube’s premium positioning is clear from its distinct appearance, which, as you can see, is significantly different from standard projectors. LG has infused the Qube with a slew of minimalistic design elements and even describes it as a fashionable art object. The cinderblock-styled, chiseled body and the 360-degree rotating handle allow you to carry it about with reasonable ease when necessary.

The CineBeam Qube is very well-equipped in terms of features. It has a 4K UHD (3,840 x 2,160 pixel) resolution, a contrast ratio of 450,000:1, and 154 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Other major enhancements include HDR10 compatibility, a brightness rating of 500 ANSI lumens, and HDMI with eARC support.

The Qube, like the aforementioned smart monitors, uses LG’s webOS 6.0 platform, which provides native support for a variety of services and apps, including Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, and YouTube. Both of these new devices will be on display at LG’s CES 2024 booth, which opens on January 9, 2024, before coming on sale later that year. LG has yet to reveal price information for both models.
